Thembela Zini
Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). She completed her undergraduate and honours degrees at Nelson Mandela University, followed by a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology at Rhodes University.
Prior to qualifying as a psychologist, Thembela worked as a career counsellor and psychometrist, where she developed a strong interest in youth development and career guidance. Her early experiences cultivated a deep commitment to contributing meaningfully to the wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities, which ultimately guided her decision to pursue a career in psychology.
In addition to her clinical practice, Thembela serves as a part-time lecturer at a higher education institution, where she contributes to the academic and professional development of emerging practitioners in healthcare. She works collaboratively with clients, grounded in the belief that each person is the expert of their own life and holds the inner resources needed for psychological well-being.
